2018, excellent year for Audax Renovables
Barcelona – 4 March. Audax Renovables, a Spanish company dedicated to the marketing of electricity and gas and the generation of renewable 100% electricity, closed 2018 with a record turnover of 987 million euros. The gross margin was 103 million euros, the EBITDA reached 53.4 million euros and the net margin rose to 9 million euros.
Numbers that show how the expansion strategies implemented by the Group have been successful, with positioning in the SME segment and reaching fourth position among energy sales companies at a national level.
Likewise, the internationalization policy continued, thanks to which Audax was able to improve its position in markets such as Portugal, Italy, Germany, Poland, Holland, France and Panama.
The union signed between Audax Energia and Audax Renovables [+info], i.e. between a sales activity and another energy generation activity, has allowed the development of vertical synergies capable of bringing immediate value. The customer portfolio has, in fact, increased by 11%, exceeding the threshold of 350 thousand customers, with a volume of "green" energy generated of 386.1 Gwh and 10.1 TWh of energy marketed; compared to the previous year, the increase was 27.5%.
Added to this is the solid financial position of the Audax Group. The net worth of 154 million euros is not only an indication of stability, but also means the possibility of investment in the development of future projects.
During 2018, the company focused on cutting-edge agreements such as Power Purchase Agreements or PPAs through which to secure renewable energy at competitive prices and for medium-long periods. An example of this is the one signed a year ago with COX Energy [+info] or the recent one signed with Welink Energy [+info]; both set a record for the importance of the figures at stake, be they financial resources or MW of power.
Furthermore, Audax Renovables is focusing with ever greater conviction on solar photovoltaic projects, especially in the self-consumption sector. The objective is to encourage the production of solar energy by private customers through the installation of photovoltaic modules on roofing or facade elements of buildings and buildings, especially factories and commercial establishments.
